Leaf-shaped arrowhead F for wooden arrows, 5.5 cm
Complete your historically styled arrow with the leaf-shaped arrowhead F from Marshal Historical. Its pointed blade and pronounced central ridge narrow into a neck and hollow socket for a wooden shaft. The simple shape looks effective displayed alone or fitted to a decorative arrow. Overall length is 5.5 cm / 2.17 in, with an internal socket diameter of approximately 8 mm / 0.31 in. When choosing a shaft, also consider the socket’s internal shape and the necessary shaping of the shaft end. Use the head for historical presentations, a collection or a traditionally styled prop. Leaf-shaped arrowhead F for wooden arrows, 5.5 cm
Shape and appearance
The head has a roughly diamond-shaped blade that narrows towards the point. A longitudinal ridge divides the surface and defines its profile. The blade has no barbs. The socket widens towards its open end to receive the shaped wooden shaft.
The photographs show working marks and differing shades on the metal surface. The exact material and method of surface treatment are not specified.
Historical inspiration
Socketed, leaf-shaped arrowheads are historically documented forms. They appeared in different periods, so the blade shape alone does not establish a precise date for this product. F remains the model designation, rather than a confirmed classification within an academic typology.
An interesting distinction lies in the attachment: with a socketed head, the wood enters a hollow metal fitting. With a tanged head, a metal tang is inserted into the shaft instead. Both methods join the head to the wooden part of the arrow.

Preparation and shaft fitting
Shape the shaft end to match the actual inside of the socket. We recommend a suitable arrow shaft tapering tool and repeated dry-fitting. The joint should sit straight without substantial play or forcing the socket apart. If you choose a glued joint, use an adhesive suitable for wood and metal. Prepare clean bonding surfaces and follow the instructions, including the full curing time.
Care and safety
Keep the head dry and wipe it after handling. You can protect the metal surface with a thin layer of protective oil, but remove oil from bonding surfaces before gluing. Avoid forceful bending and impacts against hard objects.
The pointed metal head can cause serious injury. It is unsuitable for contact LARP or combat between people. Suitability for shooting is not confirmed, so we offer it primarily for decorative and presentation use. Cover the point during transport and do not aim the arrow at anyone.
Recommended accessories
Suitable accessories include a wooden shaft, feather fletching, a tapering tool, appropriate adhesive and a protective cover. For a medieval-inspired presentation, such as a 14th–15th-century portrayal, choose a suitable quiver and other equipment. This does not establish a more precise date for the head itself.
