Templar Knight Armour – Life Size, Marto Toledo
Toledo Steel and Masterful Details
The armour comes from the workshops of the world-famous brand Marto. It is made of sheet steel (1.0–1.5 mm thickness) with a finish that imitates highly polished stainless steel (chrome look) sealed with a protective lacquer. Therefore, there is no need to degrease the armour; simply unpack and display it. The set includes:
- Breastplate: Decorated with an etching of the Templar Cross.
- Helmet: Great Helm style (sugarloaf) with a brass cross, typical for the Crusades.
- Accessories: Templar sword, large shield with a cross, fabric skirt, and a chainmail "skirt" at the waist.
- Details: Brass crosses riveted onto the gauntlet cuffs.
Construction and Assembly
The armour is delivered disassembled, but do not worry. The individual parts are easily assembled onto a sturdy wooden frame that runs through the inside of the "legs" and connects at the pelvis. The plates are connected using sliding locks and leather straps. The resulting statue stands on a massive wooden base with stainless steel fittings, giving the impression that the knight is standing guard. The package also includes wire to securely fix the sword and shield to prevent accidental falling.
Important Note on Usage and Shipping
This armour is strictly a decorative item. It is not intended for wearing or fencing (it is not hardened, and the construction is stationary). Due to its size and weight, the product is shipped via special oversized transport directly from the factory. For this reason, Cash on Delivery (COD) is not available (bank transfer, card, or PayPal only).

Care and Maintenance
The armour is lacquered and protected against corrosion by a zinc patina, so maintenance is minimal:
- Regularly remove dust with a feather duster.
- To maintain the shine, you can polish the metal parts occasionally with a dry, soft cloth.
- Clean the fabric parts (cloak, skirt) only by dry methods (vacuum cleaner on low setting).
