Rostislav Medieval Arming Sword for Re-enactment with Scabbard
Construction and Safety
The blade is hand-forged from carbon steel. To meet strict safety regulations for mass battles and public demonstrations, it features a blunt edge and a rounded tip. You can therefore participate in stage combat with confidence. The hilt is wrapped in leather and stitched on the side, ensuring a firm and secure grip even when wearing gauntlets. The pommel is attached to the blade tang by a double-secured screw connection, facilitating potential maintenance or tightening.
Carbon Steel Maintenance
Unlike stainless steel decorations, this sword requires your care. Carbon steel is susceptible to rust. Clean the blade after every use (or even after simply touching it with bare hands) and preserve it with oil (e.g., gun oil or WD-40). Store the sword in a dry place, ideally out of the scabbard, as the leather can absorb moisture.

Although the sword is constructed with historical fencing in mind (blunt edge, sturdy construction), the manufacturer does not provide a warranty against blade breakage during contact. For this legislative reason, we sell the product as a decorative replica. Any practical use (fencing, contact combat) is entirely at your own risk and responsibility.
