Hornbeam Wood Training Sword (Bokken) with Wrapped Handle
This is a B-grade product. We have decided to release a batch of bokkens that arrived from our supplier with minor aesthetic or structural defects.
Description: The bokkens are fully shaped, but the wood contains cracks of varying sizes (please see the illustrative photos in the gallery).
Suitability: Ideal for non-contact movement practice (suburi), as props for cosplay or theater, or as wall decoration.
Terms of Sale: This product is sold at a 50% discount due to the cracks in the wood. This defect is clearly stated; therefore, warranty claims regarding these wood defects or subsequent breakage under load will not be accepted.
Material and Construction
The core of the sword is solid hornbeam wood, known for its high hardness and durability. The entire sword is stained black, giving it an elegant and martial appearance. The handle is wrapped with black ribbon in the style of classic katanas, ensuring the sword won't slip in your palm even when you sweat during practice. A removable rubber guard (tsuba) is also included.

Usage Warning
The Bokken is intended for light training, practicing forms (kata), and handling drills (suburi). Although hornbeam is a very hard wood, it is still a natural material. Avoid brutal strikes against hard obstacles or full-contact sparring with excessive force, as this can lead to breakage. The warranty does not cover mechanical damage caused by rough handling.
If you want to take your training further, I recommend getting a back sheath for this bokken so you can easily travel with the sword to the dojo.
