Combination Fudo Whetstone with Anti-Slip Base
Two Grits for Effective Repair and Basic Sharpening
This model features two grit levels. The coarse side with a 240 grit (earthy colour) is designed for aggressive material removal and establishing or correcting the bevel angle. The second side with an 800 grit (blue colour) is then used for basic resharpening and smoothing. Grits up to 1000 are generally ideal for these initial phases of sharpening, while stones with a grit of 3000 and higher are recommended afterwards to achieve a very fine edge.
Proper Use and Care of the Water Stone
This is a classic water stone. Before the sharpening itself, it is absolutely necessary to let the stone soak in water for 10 to 15 minutes. During the sharpening process, the surface of the stone must also be regularly wetted to wash away metal shavings and thus maintain its high performance. For maximum safety and stability during work, this combination whetstone is set on a practical anti-slip rubber base.
