Riveted Aluminum Chainmail Hauberk - Lightweight Armor
Stage-Ready Quality and Comfort
This hauberk is constructed from aluminum rings with an inner diameter of approx. 10 mm. Unlike cheaper costume mail where rings are simply butted together, these rings are riveted. This construction significantly increases the durability of the mesh, preventing rings from opening up under their own weight or during movement. The sleeves are designed to reach just below the elbows, a classic historical style that pairs perfectly with gauntlets or vambraces.

Usage and Care
Aluminum is a fantastic material for props because it is completely rust-resistant. You do not need to oil this mail, which means no stains on your tunic and no greasy smell. Maintenance is as simple as wiping it down or rinsing it with water if needed. Handle with care during storage; avoiding placing heavy objects on top of the mail to prevent ring deformation.
Safety Warning
Please be aware that this is a costume and prop item only. Aluminum is a soft metal and provides NO protection against real weapons or heavy impacts. It is strictly prohibited for use in full-contact steel fighting (Buhurt, SCA, HEMA). The rings will shear or burst if struck by a steel weapon. It is safe for use with LARP foam weapons and strictly scenic performances.
For the best fit and comfort, we recommend wearing a padded gambeson underneath the mail.
