Care and Mounting
As the axe head is made from carbon steel, it is prone to rust. Always keep it dry and, after each use, clean it and lightly coat it with oil (e.g., Ballistol, WD-40, or mineral oil).
Important: You are responsible for correctly and securely mounting the head onto a haft. Use a suitable wood (ash or hickory are ideal) and ensure the head is fitted tightly and safely. A loose axe head is extremely dangerous!
