On this knife, the Damascus creates a visually stunning jacket of 71 layers that protects the hard cutting core made of modern 8CR13MoV stainless steel. Maintenance and Safety Guidelines

To ensure this jewel serves you in pristine condition for as long as possible, it requires a little attention:

• Even though the steel is classified as stainless, always thoroughly clean and dry the knife after every use. The textured Damascus pattern can be more prone to trapping moisture and debris.
• Occasionally treat the natural wood handle with a drop of linseed oil or pure olive oil to prevent the wood from drying out and to maintain its rich colour. Under no circumstances should you put the knife in a dishwasher!
• We recommend regularly treating the leather sheath with a beeswax leather balm to keep it supple and prevent cracking.
• Important Warning: The knife is exceptionally sharp straight from the factory. For safety reasons, it is not designed for throwing, prying hard materials, or any form of contact fencing or man-to-man combat. It is strictly a high-quality utility and working tool.
