Elegant Damascus Folding Knife with Ebony Wood Handle
A Blend of Modern Technology and Traditional Appearance
The foundation of this knife is a sandwich-construction blade. The core is made of high-quality stainless steel 8Cr13MoV, which ensures excellent cutting performance and ease of sharpening. This core is clad on the sides with layers of folded steel, creating the renowned Damascus pattern. In total, the blade consists of 71 layers. This technology not only looks great but also combines the properties of different steels – the hardness of the edge and the toughness of the sides.
The knife is equipped with a classic Lockback safety mechanism. Upon opening the blade, which is facilitated by a nail nick, the lock engages with a characteristic click, securely fixing the knife in the open position. To close it, simply press the lever on the spine of the handle. The handle is anatomically shaped and, thanks to the ebony wood, is pleasant to the touch even in cold weather.

Historical Trivia: The Mystery of Damascus Steel
Original Damascus steel (Wootz) was a legendary material of antiquity and the Middle Ages, renowned for its incredible sharpness and flexibility. Crusaders encountered it in the Middle East, watching in horror as Saracen sabres sliced through European swords. Although the original recipe was lost over the centuries, today's modern pattern-welded steel continues this tradition visually and functionally. By layering steels, a structure is created that is unique to every knife – just like a fingerprint.
Maintenance and Safety
To keep the knife looking like new for years to come, it deserves a little care. Although the Damascus steel is stainless, always rinse and wipe the knife dry after cutting acidic foods (lemon, onion). The blade is extremely sharp – please handle with extra care to avoid injury. Ebony is a natural material; occasionally treating it with linseed oil or beeswax will prevent it from drying out and cracking. Never wash the knife in a dishwasher!
