Compact Damascus Folding Knife with Ebony Handle
A Fusion of Hi-Tech Production and Handcraftsmanship
The blade of this knife is proof of how far modern technology has advanced. It is produced using powder metallurgy, where materials with excellent properties are created under extreme pressure and temperatures. The core of the blade consists of high-quality stainless steel 8Cr13MoV, ensuring sharpness and edge retention. This core is protected on the sides by folded steel, creating a characteristic pattern of 71 layers. Although the basic shaping is the work of precise machines, the final finishing, grinding, and assembly are carried out by hand under the strict supervision of quality inspectors. The result is a knife with an excellent price-performance ratio.
You can open the knife easily using the nail nick – a groove on the blade. In the open position, the blade is securely fixed by a classic lockback mechanism. To close it, simply press the lever on the spine of the handle and carefully fold the blade. The handle consists of a steel bolster (also with a Damascus pattern) and scales made of hard ebony wood, which is pleasant to the touch and provides a non-slip grip.

A Bit of History
Ebony wood, used on the handle, has always been a symbol of luxury throughout history. Even in ancient Egypt, it was imported from distant lands and used to make precious objects for pharaohs. Combined with Damascus steel, which with its patterning recalls legendary oriental swords, you are holding a piece of history in a modern guise. This type of small pocket knife has been popular since the 19th century as an essential tool for cutting fruit, sharpening quill pens, or preparing tobacco.
Care and Maintenance
Although your new knife is made of stainless materials, it still deserves care. After use, especially if you have cut acidic fruit or food, rinse the blade and dry it thoroughly. You can revive the ebony wood once in a while with a drop of linseed oil or beeswax to prevent it from drying out and to maintain its deep shine. Lubricate the lock mechanism occasionally with a drop of gun oil or sewing machine oil.
Warning: The knife is delivered in a wooden box, which serves primarily as protective packaging for transport and storage. Never use the knife as a pry bar or screwdriver; there is a risk of breaking the tip or damaging the lock. Be careful with your fingers when closing – the lock spring is strong.
For safe carrying, you might also find a small leather belt sheath useful to protect the knife from scratches caused by keys or coins.
