This pair of pauldrons with besagues (rondels) is made of 1.6 mm thick mild steel. The individual plates that make up these shoulder armour are riveted to the leather strips underneath. The rondels are not attached directly to the pauldrons, but are simply laced to the main arm plates with leather cords, which are also included. More information...
Pauldrons with fluted besagues
Leather straps with steel buckles are attached to the top plate of the shoulders to connect the shoulders to a metal gorget. The gorget is not included, but is available separately (see recommended accessories). Another pair of leather straps with steel buckles are attached to the lowest plates. These are strapped around the upper arms so that the pauldrons or their upper arm plates move well with the arm movements.
