Crusader Sword Miniature Letter Opener
Design in the Sign of the Cross
The sword's design is rich with symbolism referencing the Crusades. The hilt, available in two colour finishes, is its most distinctive feature.
- Finish: Choose between a radiant silver and a noble gold (brass) variant.
- Pommel: The flat, disc-shaped pommel is adorned with an enamelled medallion featuring a red cross pattée, a symbol of knightly orders.
- Grip and Guard: The horizontally ribbed grip ensures a comfortable hold. The crossguard is curved towards the blade, and its ends are finished with stylized animal heads. Another enamelled cross is set in the centre of the guard.
- Blade: Made of high-quality 440 stainless steel, it is sturdy and ideally shaped for smoothly opening envelopes. Its central fuller bears the engraved inscription "CRUZADOS" (Spanish for Crusaders).

In the Name of the Cross
In 1095, at the Council of Clermont, Pope Urban II called upon the Christian world to launch the First Crusade under the motto "God wills it!" The goal was to reclaim Jerusalem and other holy sites. Thousands of men from all over Europe gave up their property and families to take up the sword. They sewed a red cross symbol onto their garments, which earned them the name—Crusaders. This marked the beginning of nearly two hundred years of wars fought in the name of faith, which forever changed the face of Europe and the Middle East.
Care and Maintenance
Thanks to the stainless steel blade, maintenance is very easy. To maintain its shine, we recommend keeping the sword dry and occasionally wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
Please note: This is a decorative replica and letter opener. The sword is not sharpened and is not intended for combat, fencing, or any other practical use as a weapon.
