A Fusion of Steel and Mediterranean Sun
The foundation of the knife is the blade and front bolsters made of 71 layers of stainless Damascus steel. The core consists of the proven 8Cr13MoV steel, ensuring very good cutting performance. The layering of the steel creates a unique pattern that flows seamlessly from the blade onto the handle, a detail very rare in knives of this price range.
The handle is clad in select olive wood. This wood is known not only for its beautiful, marbled grain and honey colour but also for its hardness and durability. Olive wood carries the symbolism of peace and longevity. A real treat for the eye is the decorative filework (guilloche) on the back spring, which extends onto the spine of the blade. The knife does not have a locking mechanism; the blade is held in the open position by spring pressure (Slipjoint system). This makes it a generally "legal carry" friendly knife in many jurisdictions, including the UK (blade under 3 inches, non-locking), though you should always check your local laws.

Care and Maintenance
This knife is made of high-quality stainless materials, but olive wood is a natural, living material. To keep it bringing you joy for as long as possible, avoid soaking the knife in water for extended periods and never put it in a dishwasher. Treat the wood occasionally with a drop of olive or linseed oil; this will highlight the grain and prevent drying. If you cut acidic fruit, always rinse the blade and wipe it dry to keep the Damascus pattern sharp and contrasting.
Safety Warning: The knife features a Slipjoint system, meaning it does not have a hard mechanical lock. The blade is held open only by spring tension. Do not apply pressure towards the back of the blade while working, and do not use it for stabbing into hard materials to prevent it from closing on your fingers.
