Pointed krakow shoes

Central Europe was able to avoid the pointed shoe craze almost completely, but the shoes simply overran England and France! After a short period (from around 1370 to 1400), the storm had blown over and nobody wore "poulaines" any longer. But the leather shoes with the long, exaggerated tips experienced a true renaissance starting around 1450: the points grew to around half of the length of the shoe and some were even turned up and connected to the shoe tongue. Even some suits of armor were designed to accommodate these extreme shoes. But today, most people realize that grotesque, long shoe tips that need to be tied to their legs or belts are the stuff of fairy tales. More information...

Material: Genuine leather

Our black pointed krakow shoes are made of genuine leather. They can be worn without ties and have a pointed tip that is between 7 and 8cm long.

These pointed krakow shoes are available in standard EUR sizes. If you select the size "made-to-measure", they will be manufactured according to this measurement chart. Please fill it in after you finish your order.

 

Note on the size selection "made to measure": If you order tailor-made shoes from us and wear orthopaedic insoles, it is necessary to send them to us. The shoe manufacturer infixes the shoe inserts exactly and you can then look forward to the shoes fitting perfectly.
