The elegantly elongated pointed toe gives the footwear a truly authentic late 14th to early 15th-century character. Yet, you do not have to compromise on comfort or safety. The traditional leather sole is cleverly fitted with a discreet anti-slip rubber layer, making them ideal for modern historical festivals. Treat your feet to historical elegance and beautifully complement your period dress.
A Jewel Of High Gothic Fashion
In terms of history and the evolution of clothing, this footwear shape with an elongated toe falls roughly into the second half of the 14th century up to the early 15th century. Pointed shoes were a massive fashion hit in Europe at the time, particularly popular among the court nobility and wealthy patricians. Our boots feature a deliberately moderate and more practical toe length, allowing you to walk safely and comfortably all day at a LARP event or during historical reenactments.
The fleur-de-lis motif embossed into the leather is an ancient symbol of purity and royal power, historically most associated with the French royal court. The colour green symbolised youth, love, and hope during the Gothic era, and dyeing leather a rich green was considered a costly and luxurious process.
Craftsmanship And Technical Parameters
The upper of the boot is made of sturdy cowhide leather, which will beautifully adapt to the shape of your foot with wear. The boots are machine-sewn and lasted over a shoetree, ensuring their sturdiness. Fastening is historically accurate, using long leather laces to secure the ankle. The sole features a low heel for better posture.

How To Care For Your Leather Boots
Leather is a natural material that requires proper care. The boots are pre-treated with a beeswax leather balsam from the workshop. We strongly recommend regularly treating the boots with a high-quality leather balsam or oil. The balsam softens the leather, impregnates it, and prevents cracking. Please note that leather will always darken slightly after applying grease. If slight scuffing occurs on the toes, a tinted shoe polish can be used.
Never dry the boots near an open fire or on a hot radiator! Excessive heat will irreversibly dry out the leather. Dry them slowly at room temperature, ideally stuffed with newspaper. Although the sole is equipped with an anti-slip rubber layer, always exercise caution when walking on wet grass or slippery cobblestones.
Recommended Accessories
To complete your perfect historical look, we highly recommend pairing these elegant Gothic boots with a long linen medieval dress, a decorated leather belt with a brass buckle, and period woollen hose, which will also prevent blisters and keep your feet warm.
