Two-Tone Gothic Mi-Parti Leather Poulaines With Lacing
Historical Context And Safety Warnings
The term mi-parti refers to the popular medieval fashion of the 14th and 15th centuries, where garments and accessories were sewn from two (or more) contrasting colour blocks. This extravagant style was loved not only by the high nobility but also favoured by wandering bards, musicians, wealthy burghers, and, of course, court jesters. Furthermore, ankle poulaines with curled toes demonstrated that their wearer did not have to engage in heavy manual labour. These two-tone historical shoes are an absolutely perfect choice for re-enactment, theatre, and fantasy events. The rubber sole is attached using the sturdy flexible shoemaking method, guaranteeing a sure step on grass and cobblestones. Important warning: Exercise extreme caution when walking up stairs, running, or during dynamic fencing! The significantly elongated toe requires a bit of practice so you do not trip over it and cause yourself an injury.

Sizes And Custom Tailoring
You can choose these original shoes from our standard EU sizes. If you have an atypical foot shape, a high instep, or simply insist on absolutely perfect comfort, we are happy to provide custom tailoring. Select the custom option when purchasing, and carefully fill out our measurement chart after submitting your order. If you wear orthopaedic insoles, it is necessary to send them to us in advance. Our cobbler will then precisely and functionally integrate them directly into the footbed.
Leather Care
Leather is a living material and loses its elasticity without care. The shoes are gently treated with a beeswax balm during production. Regularly clean off dust and mud and grease them with a high-quality leather balm or cobbler's oil. This softens the leather, waterproofs it, and gives it a natural patina. If they get wet, stuff the footwear with old newspaper and let it dry very slowly at room temperature. Never dry the boots on a hot radiator, near a blazing fire, or in harsh direct sunlight! Rapid drying would irreversibly damage the leather, causing it to crack.
Recommended Accessories
To achieve the maximum period effect, we recommend purchasing medieval chausses (leggings) in the matching mi-parti style and a high-quality leather belt with a brass buckle to go with these boots.
