The blade of this knife is made using a sandwich construction method, guaranteeing excellent cutting properties. The core of the blade consists of hard stainless steel (type 440C/AC), ensuring the knife stays sharp for a long time. This core is protected on the sides by a cladding of Damascus steel, comprising a total of 39 layers. The result is not only a beautiful pattern on the blade resembling tree rings but also increased resistance to breakage. The hardness is in the optimal range of 54-55 HRC, meaning the knife is sufficiently hard yet relatively easy to sharpen at home.

The handle is made of hard and heavy wood known as Zebrawood (Zebrano). This wood is famous for its distinct dark striping on a light background, giving the knife a luxurious look. The transition between the blade and handle is protected by a polished steel guard, preventing fingers from slipping onto the edge during work. For safe carrying in the wild, the knife is equipped with a high-quality brown leather sheath with a snap-button safety strap.

Care for Your Damascus Knife

To ensure this beauty brings you joy for many years, it deserves a little care. Although the steel is stainless, the Damascus pattern is sensitive. Never wash the knife in a dishwasher! Aggressive chemicals and high temperatures would destroy the wooden handle and could cause the etched pattern on the blade to fade. After use, clean the knife, rinse it, and wipe it dry immediately. The wooden handle should be treated with special wood oil or linseed oil from time to time to prevent it from drying out and to maintain its lustre.

The knife is supplied sharp and is intended for cutting. Do not use it as a pry bar, screwdriver, or for throwing, as you could irreparably damage the tip or the edge. Exercise increased caution when handling.
