Construction and Craftsmanship: Steel Built to Last
The core of this weapon is a blade forged from 1065 High Carbon Steel. This is no soft decorative metal. The blade is tempered to a hardness in the low 50s RC, ensuring optimal flexibility and edge retention. Thanks to the wide full-tang construction running through the entire handle, you can rely on it even during demanding use. The characteristic central fuller not only lightens the blade but also provides the necessary rigidity.
The special surface treatment resembles blackened steel that has seen battle. This stone-washed effect is not only aesthetic but also practical – it protects the steel against corrosion better than a classic polished finish. The handle is firmly attached to the blade with sturdy cross-head bolts, making maintenance easier.
Stylish Scabbard with Details
With this Kindjal, you also receive a matching leather scabbard. It features a steel throat and chape, also in a darkened finish. Note the fine detail: the fittings are engraved with a traditional floral pattern, adding a touch of historical authenticity and elegance to the weapon.

Usage and Safety
This Kindjal is supplied sharp and is designed as a functional replica. Thanks to high-quality heat treatment and full-tang construction, it is suitable for cutting tests (tameshigiri) on soft targets (e.g., tatami mats, plastic bottles).
Important Warning: Although this is a functional weapon, it is a sharp blade. It is strictly not intended for contact sparring (person vs. person) or stage combat where blade-on-blade contact occurs. There is a risk of serious injury and destruction of the edge.
Care Instructions
To ensure your Kindjal lasts for years looking like new (or rather, stylishly old), you need to take care of it:
- After every use or touch, wipe the blade with a dry cloth and oil it with a preservative oil (e.g., WD-40, Ballistol, or gun oil). Acidic sweat from hands causes corrosion.
- Do not leave the weapon in the leather scabbard for long periods, as leather can absorb moisture from the air.
- When cutting, avoid hard objects (wood, bone, metal stands) that could chip the edge.
