Complete Decorative Samurai Sword Set with Japanese Kanji Characters
History and Symbolism of the Three-Sword Set
While the pair of long and short swords (Katana and Wakizashi) formed the inseparable Daisho, which was the exclusive symbol of the samurai class and worn tucked into the obi belt, the short Tanto dagger fulfilled a very specific role. It was designed for close-quarters combat, often in confined indoor spaces, and also served ritualistic purposes. Displaying all three weapons together on a three-tier wooden stand (kake) represents the full martial readiness of the Japanese warrior. Traditionally, the weapons are placed with the cutting edge facing upwards, which protects the edge within the scabbard and simultaneously signals that the house is at peace.
Craftsmanship and Decorative Details
The blades of all three weapons are forged from mild steel, giving them an authentic metallic shine. These are unsharpened replicas that will safely decorate your home. The handle (tsuka) of each sword is covered with white faux ray skin (samegawa) and tightly wrapped with traditional black cotton wrapping (tsuka-ito). The aesthetic impression is enhanced by a detailed circular metal guard (tsuba) and fittings at the end of the pommel (kashira). The scabbards (saya) are made of wood, finished with a deep black coating, and adorned with elegant Japanese characters.

Safety Warnings and Proper Maintenance
Strong Warning: This set is designed exclusively as a decorative item. The blades are not sharpened, and the handle construction is not designed to withstand any mechanical stress. The swords are absolutely not suitable for cutting tests (tameshigiri), contact fencing, martial arts, or air manipulation (kata forms). Attempting to swing the weapons poses a severe risk of the blade dislodging from the handle, which could cause serious injury to yourself or bystanders!
To maintain its flawless appearance, the set requires no complex care. Simply dust the steel blades and lacquered wooden scabbards regularly with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Display the entire set in a dry place at standard room temperature, away from direct sunlight, and always out of the reach of children.
Recommended Accessories
For the long-term protection of the steel blades against air humidity, we recommend purchasing a conservation oil from our range, which you can lightly apply to the blades from time to time to maintain their brilliant shine.
