A Cut Proven by Battle and Craft
This tunic is not just a "sack with sleeves". Its construction is based on archaeological findings (e.g., Viking Age and Early Medieval patterns) and is tailored for active movement:
- Side Gores: Triangular pieces of fabric are sewn into the sides to widen the bottom hem. This allows for a wide stance in combat or comfortable seating in the saddle.
- Underarm Gussets: A critical detail for any fencer. Square inserts are sewn under the arms to ensure that when you raise your arm (e.g., to strike with a sword), the tunic does not pull up and tighten across the chest.
- Neckline and Trim: The practical V-neck and sleeves are adorned with a subtle patterned trim, adding a touch of nobility to the garment without being overly ornate.

Care Instructions
Wool is durable but requires specific care. Never wash in hot water or dry in a dryer! We recommend hand washing in lukewarm water (up to 30°C) using a wool detergent (with lanolin). Do not wring the tunic after washing; gently squeeze out the water and dry it flat (e.g., on a towel). Wool has self-cleaning properties – often, simply airing it out in fresh air is sufficient.
