Smart and Functional Design
This item consists of two parts that work together to form a complete suspension system:
- Short strap with Ring (The Frog): This part features two sturdy leather loops through which you slide your sword's scabbard. Attached to its end is a massive steel ring with a polished nickel-plated finish.
- Long Belt Strap: You wrap this strap around your waist and thread the free end through the ring to tighten and secure the entire system.
This construction allows for comfortable sword carrying at the ideal angle and simultaneously functions as a proper belt on which you can hang other accessories, such as a pouch or a dagger.
How to Wear This Belt Correctly
Usage is very intuitive:
- Slide your sword scabbard through both leather loops on the shorter strap.
- Wrap the long strap around your waist.
- Pass the free end of the long strap through the steel ring (ideally from bottom to top).
- Tighten the belt to your desired fit.
- Loop the excess end over the ring, tuck it behind the tightened strap, and let it hang down freely. Friction and weight will keep it securely in place. The long hanging end is also a historically accurate fashion detail.

Leather Care
To ensure the belt lasts as long as possible, store it in a dry place and protect it from moisture. Wipe off any dirt with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let it dry naturally at room temperature. Occasionally treat the leather with a quality leather conditioner or beeswax to keep it supple and durable.
