Leather Care and Maintenance

To ensure this leather belt hanger serves you well for as long as possible, proper care is essential. We recommend treating the hide at least twice a year with a high-quality leather balm, ideally one based on natural beeswax. The balm deeply nourishes the leather, keeps it supple, and protects it from moisture. If the frog gets soaked during an event, never dry it near an open fire or on a hot radiator. Always let it air dry naturally at room temperature. Minor imperfections and colour variations are natural characteristics of genuine leather, forming its unique and highly sought-after patina over time.

Important Safety Warning

This frog is designed exclusively for carrying swords enclosed in a rigid wooden or leather scabbard, or for inserting blunt historical fencing weapons. Under no circumstances should you secure the bare blade of a sharply honed weapon directly into the straps! The sharp edge could easily slice through the leather securing straps when drawing, causing the weapon to fall and potentially resulting in very serious injury to your leg.
