How to Care for Your Piece of History

To ensure your horn tankard serves you faithfully on many adventures, it's important to care for it properly.

Rules for Use and Maintenance:

• Suitable Drinks: The tankard is ideal for beer, mead, wine, and other cold or lukewarm beverages with an alcohol content of up to 20%.
• What to Absolutely Avoid: Never pour hot beverages (coffee, tea, mulled wine) into it, as the high temperature would damage the horn and the interior resin. Also, avoid strong spirits (over 20% alcohol).
• NEVER IN THE DISHWASHER: A dishwasher would irreversibly destroy the tankard. Likewise, do not expose it to microwave radiation.

1. Washing: Immediately after each use, wash the tankard by hand under cool or lukewarm running water. You can use a drop of mild washing-up liquid.
2. Drying: Dry it immediately and thoroughly, inside and out, with a soft cloth. Do not leave it to air dry.
3. Care: For a longer life and to prevent the material from drying out, you can occasionally rub a little food-grade beeswax into the horn (inside and out).
4. Storage: Keep the tankard in a dry place, ideally in the included fabric bag, which protects it from dust and scratches.
