Practical Advice and Usage
This bow is designed for adult archers (18+). Its greatest strength is its versatility. Before shooting, always ensure all bolts are tightened and the string is not frayed. Never "Dry Fire" the bow (firing without an arrow)! This will cause immediate damage to the cams or limbs and can lead to serious injury.
Maintenance: To ensure a long lifespan for your string and cables, apply string wax regularly. Store your bow in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving it in a hot car, as extreme heat can compromise the integrity of the fiberglass limbs and cause them to delaminate.
Recommended Arrows and Accessories
Due to the high kinetic energy produced by the Thorns, you must use carbon arrows. Wooden or basic fiberglass arrows cannot handle the force of a 70 LBS draw and may shatter. We recommend 30-inch carbon arrows with screw-in points and a spine rating of 300 to 400, depending on your specific poundage settings.
To enhance your experience, we recommend purchasing a heavy-duty archery target capable of stopping high-velocity arrows, and a tube of synthetic string wax. For protection during travel, a padded bow case is a wise investment to keep your sights and cams perfectly aligned.
