Product Care and Safe Usage
Like any product made of natural horn, this one requires specific and gentle care. The inside of the vessel is professionally treated with a resin varnish certified for contact with food. Beverages such as beer, mead, wine, water, and not overly acidic soft drinks are perfectly suitable to be served in it. However, hot drinks and liquids with an alcohol content above 20% are completely unsuitable, as they could severely damage and dissolve the protective layer. The product would also be irreparably ruined if you washed it in a dishwasher or heated it in a microwave oven. Wash the horn only by hand under running lukewarm water after each use. To preserve the beauty of the natural surface, we recommend occasionally treating the outside with natural beeswax. Since this is a purely natural material, the size, shape, and colour differ naturally for each individual specimen.
