Beverages such as beer, traditional mead, wine, plain water, and non-acidic soft drinks are exceptionally suitable to be served in it. However, hot drinks and liquids with an alcohol content above 20% are completely unsuitable. Hot liquid would destroy the horn, and strong alcohol could degrade the protective varnish layer.

To ensure the horn serves you faithfully for a long time, remember a few fundamental rules. The product would be irreversibly ruined if you washed it in a dishwasher or heated it in a microwave oven. Wash it exclusively by hand using lukewarm water and a drop of mild detergent. Before the very first use, rinse it thoroughly under running water. Horn is a natural material that can crack over time and due to dryness. To maintain its beauty and flexibility, we highly recommend gently treating the exterior with pure beeswax after each use.
