How to Care for Your Horn
This is a natural product that requires proper care to serve you for many years. Please follow these instructions:
- Suitable Drinks: The horn is ideal for cold beverages like beer, mead, wine, water, and non-acidic soft drinks. It can hold liquids with up to 20% alcohol content.
- What to Avoid: NEVER pour hot beverages into the horn, as this could cause irreparable damage. Do not put it in a dishwasher or microwave. It is also not suitable for highly acidic drinks or spirits over 20% alcohol.
- Cleaning: Before the first use and after each subsequent use, wash the horn under running lukewarm water. Do not let it soak for a long time. Dry it immediately with a soft cloth.
- Maintenance: To extend its life and prevent it from drying out, you can occasionally treat the inside of the horn with beeswax.
Please Note: As this is a natural material, each horn is unique in its shape, size, and colour. Over time, small cracks may appear, which is a natural ageing process of the material.
