• Knights Templar (White with Red Cross): The legendary protectors of pilgrims. Their white surcoats and horse caparisons with the red cross are symbols of courage and sacrifice.
• Hospitallers / Teutonic Order (Black with White Cross): Knights in black attire look formidable and authoritative on the battlefield (and on the fridge). They represent discipline and tenacity.
• Royal Guard (Grey with Gold Cross): This variant in steel grey with gold details and crosses evokes the elite units of the Kingdom of Jerusalem or the monarch's personal guard.

The figurines are made of durable polyresin, allowing for the rendering of details such as chainmail, helmet rivets, or horse musculature. A strong magnet on the back reliably holds shopping lists, notes, or photos.

Historical Insight: Tanks of the Middle Ages

Heavy cavalry was the decisive force on the battlefield in the High Middle Ages. A knight on a horse, clad in iron, represented the equivalent of today's tank. The impact of a tight cavalry formation could break almost any infantry line. Horses were specially trained for combat (destriers) so they would not fear the noise of battle and could bite and kick around them. The caparisons (cloth coverings) on the horses served not only for decoration and identification but also protected the animal from the sun and partially from arrows.

Caring for Your Cavalry

Although these knights look fearless, the material of the statuettes requires gentle handling:

• Watch out for Drops: The figurines have many protruding parts (horse legs, swords, tails). A fall onto hard tiles would be fatal for them. Place them preferably in the upper part of the fridge, out of reach of small children and pets.
• Door Opening: The magnet is strong, but if the fridge door is slammed shut, the figurine may slip due to inertia.
• Cleaning: To maintain the bright colours, wipe them only with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents.
