A Complete Set for Your Project
The advantage of this package is its completeness. You don't have to search for and purchase matching rivets – everything is included. The set contains two brass mounts and six solid brass rivets. To achieve the strongest and most professional joint, especially in thicker leather, we recommend also using brass washers (not included), which will distribute the pressure and prevent the material from tearing.
Installation Guide
Attaching the mount is easy and requires only basic tools and skills:
- Place the mount on the desired spot on the leather and mark the positions of the three holes.
- Using a hole punch, create holes in the leather that match the diameter of the rivet shanks.
- Push the rivets from the front side through the mount and the leather.
- On the back side, place a washer over each rivet (recommended).
- Trim the rivet shanks so they protrude about 1-2 mm beyond the washer.
- Place the mount face down on a soft surface (a piece of leather, wood) to avoid damaging its surface. With a ball-peen hammer, carefully peen the ends of the shanks until they form strong, smooth shop heads.

Caring for Your Brass Mounts
Brass is a durable material that develops a natural patina over time. If you wish to maintain its original shine, you can occasionally polish it with a soft cloth and a brass cleaning agent. To preserve the authentic patinated look, simply wipe the mount dry.
