Robin Hood Miniature Sword, Outlaw's Letter Opener

The Sword of the Prince of Thieves on Your Desk

Every detail of this sword reflects its noble yet outlaw character. It is truly a work of art in miniature.

  • The Blade: Made of high-quality 440 stainless steel, hardened to 47-51 HRC, it is not only durable but also beautiful to look at. It is adorned with a fine black etching of foliate motifs, reminiscent of the dense forests of Sherwood.
  • The Hilt: The richly decorated hilt features a gold-painted finish. The guard has elegantly downward-curving quillons ending in ornate knobs. The sleek black grip provides a comfortable hold. The crown of the entire hilt is an elaborate, openwork pommel resembling a crown, with a small red gemstone set in its center.

Rob from the Rich and Open the Mail

This sword is the ideal accessory for anyone who appreciates style and originality. Use it as a luxury letter opener to give your office a touch of uniqueness. It is also a great collector's item that will stand out on a shelf or desk, ideally paired with one of our stands.

The Legend of Robin Hood

Robin Hood, also known as Robert of Locksley, was, according to legend, an English outlaw who lived in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire. He was born around 1160 during the reign of King Henry II. He was famous for robbing the corrupt and wealthy Norman nobility and distributing the spoils to the poor and oppressed. He was a staunch opponent of Prince John Lackland, who had usurped power while his brother, the rightful King Richard I the Lionheart, was fighting in the Crusades. Robin Hood became a symbol of the fight for justice and loyalty to the rightful king, whom he helped restore to the throne.

Typological Classification

This sword is primarily a fantasy design inspired by the legend. However, its hilt, particularly the shape of the guard with arms pointing towards the blade, exhibits elements reminiscent of later Renaissance side-swords or rapiers rather than classic 12th-century medieval swords. This makes it a unique and stylistically interesting piece.

Care and Safe Use

Keep the sword dry and clean. Occasionally polish it with a soft, dry cloth to maintain its shine. Be careful with the gold-painted surface to avoid scratching it.

Important Notice: This is a decorative replica and a letter opener, not a weapon. Although it has a sharp point, it is not intended for combat, cutting, or any other practical use other than opening mail. Handle it responsibly and keep it out of the reach of children.
