To maintain the shine and protect against drying out (which can lead to cracking), occasional treatment with natural oil (e.g., almond or olive oil) or beeswax is recommended – apply a thin layer, allow to absorb, and then polish with a dry cloth.

Safety Warning

For safety reasons, use these buttons exclusively as a fastening element or decoration on garments. Completely unsuitable are they for use in load-bearing elements with high load (e.g., weapon slings with heavy draw, child-carrying harnesses, climbing equipment) – horn can crack under extreme pressure and cause failure.
