The Unique Nature of Each Piece:

As the horn is handcrafted using traditional methods from purely natural materials, each piece is an absolute original. They vary in size (length approx. 30-38 cm / 11.8-15 inches, circumference at the rim approx. 22-30 cm / 8.7-11.8 inches), shape, volume (approx. 450-700 ml / 15.8-24.6 fl oz), as well as colour tone and material grain. Unfortunately, it's not possible to select a specific colour beforehand – meaning you'll receive a truly unique specimen. The photographed example, for instance, has a height of around 40 cm (15.7 inches) and weighs approximately 480 g.

Description and Decoration:

The horn itself has the typical curved shape, and its surface is often dark and polished. The most striking feature is the brass fittings – a wide, polished rim around the opening and a finial at the tip, giving it an elegant and stately appearance. The body of the horn is also adorned with an impressive leaf pattern (resembling oak leaves), which is hand-charred onto the surface. This technique creates a beautiful contrast between the dark horn and the lighter pattern.

Material and Use:

The horn is made from genuine natural horn (cow/ox) and the fittings are brass. According to the original description, it is suitable for both cold and warm drinks. (However, we recommend caution with very hot beverages and advise against using a dishwasher to ensure the horn's longevity.) Before first use, simply rinse it under running water.
