Crossbow Rope Cocking Device

Do you struggle with your crossbow every time you load it, feeling like your arms or back are about to give up after just a few shots? A rope cocking device is an absolute necessity for every owner of a powerful crossbow. This simple yet ingenious mechanism works on the pulley principle. Thanks to it, you reduce the resistance you have to overcome when cocking by a full 50%. This means you can cock a 150 lb crossbow as if it were only 75 lbs. Apart from saving your energy, the cocker also ensures much more accurate shooting – it draws the string evenly on both sides, which is often difficult to achieve when cocking by hand. Avoid sore fingers and an unevenly seated string with this practical accessory. Further product information ...

Crossbow Rope Cocking Device – 50% Effort Reduction Aid

Smart Design for Your Comfort

The cocker consists of a strong synthetic rope connecting two ergonomic "T" shaped handles. These are designed to provide a firm and secure grip that won't slip even in sweaty palms. A key feature is the hooks equipped with brass rollers (pulleys). These rollers are gentle on your string serving, minimising friction and thus extending the lifespan of the most critical part of your weapon.

How to Use the Cocking Device Correctly

Usage is intuitive, but for safety, the correct procedure must be followed (see diagram):

  1. Place the crossbow vertically in front of you and secure it firmly by placing your foot in the stirrup.
  2. Hook the centre of the cocker rope behind the rear part of the crossbow stock (behind the trigger mechanism or in the groove designed for it).
  3. Attach the hooks with rollers from underneath onto the string on both sides of the barrel/rail.
  4. Grasp both T-handles and pull upwards in a fluid motion (using your legs and back, not just your arms) until the string clicks into the trigger mechanism.
  5. Carefully unhook the cocker, and you are ready to load a bolt.

Why is a Cocker Better Than Bare Hands?

Besides the obvious relief for your muscles, the cocker has a crucial impact on accuracy. When cocking by hand, you often unconsciously pull harder with one hand. This shifts the centre of the string off the axis of the flight path (off-centre). The result is an inaccurate shot where the bolt drifts to the side. The rope cocking device self-centres and guarantees that the string is seated perfectly straight in the latch. Additionally, you protect your fingers from pressure marks and pinching.

Before each use, check if the cocker rope is frayed or worn. Replace a damaged cocker immediately to prevent it from snapping during the draw, which could lead to injury.
