Comfort and Authentic Look
The stockings are made of 100% cotton. While wool or linen were historically accurate, cotton offers a softer feel against the skin, easier maintenance, and affordability while visually mimicking period fabrics well. Included in the package is a pair of black cotton garters, which you simply tie below the knee to keep the stockings securely in place.
Customizable Fit
If the foot length doesn't fit perfectly (e.g., the toe is too long), a historically accurate and practical solution is to simply cut off the tip or sew it to fit. Medieval clothing was often modified at home to suit the wearer.

Care Instructions
To preserve the fabric and dye:
- Wash by hand in cold water (max. 30°C / 86°F).
- Use a mild detergent.
- Turn inside out before washing and let air dry (do not tumble dry).
