Strictly avoid drying it near an open flame, on a radiator, or in direct hot sunlight; this would irreversibly damage the leather, causing it to harden and crack. The bronze fittings will acquire a beautiful natural patina over time, which does not need to be removed. Please remember that slight variations in colour and surface texture compared to the photographs are a natural characteristic of genuine leather, making each piece a unique original. For your safety, never suspend unprotected sharp weapons without a scabbard from the belt.
