Trefoil brooches were part of the clothing and the adornment almost throughout the Viking Age. Most of them were worn by women on the garment centered on the chest. Two matching decorated brooches, on the left nad on the right side of a viking garment. This robe brooch is a replica of a Viking era brooch found in Stora Ryk / Sweden. At its back is a strong needle, as well as an eyelet for attaching a chain e.g.
