This bolt is built from high-grade 7075-T9 aerospace alloy. The number 2219 isn't just a label; it represents the technical specifications: a 22/64-inch outer diameter combined with a 0.019-inch wall thickness. This heavy wall gives the bolt excellent kinetic energy and the stiffness required to handle the power of modern high-draw-weight crossbows.
Each arrow arrives fully assembled and ready to shoot. It features a precision nock ensuring proper string alignment, durable plastic vanes for flight stabilization, and a front insert. Care and Safety Instructions
To get the best performance and lifespan out of your Easton bolts, keep these tips in mind:
- Target Selection: Only shoot at targets specifically designed for crossbows (high-density foam or bag targets). Shooting into wood, plywood, or rocks will permanently bend or destroy the aluminum shaft. This type of damage is not covered by warranty.
- Inspection: Aluminum can bend. Before loading, spin the arrow on a flat surface or in your hand to check for straightness. Do not shoot a bent bolt as it will be inaccurate and potentially dangerous.
- Tighten Your Points: Screw-in points can loosen due to vibration. Check them frequently to prevent stripping the threads in the insert.
- Don't Crowd the Bullseye: Avoid shooting multiple bolts at the exact same spot to prevent "Robin Hooding" (splitting one arrow with another), which ruins both bolts.
