History, Legend, and Construction in the Spirit of Camelot
The design of this sword draws inspiration from 15th-century romance literature, most notably Sir Thomas Malory's iconic 1485 work Le Morte d'Arthur. During this period, chivalric tales of the Knights of the Round Table reached their definitive artistic expression. The blade is forged from 1080 high carbon steel and hardened to 50–55 HRC. To reduce weight while preserving structural integrity, the blade features three distinct fullers: a long central fuller flanked by two shorter side fullers.
The guard and pommel are cast from light metal alloy with a antiqued silver finish. The decorative elements evoke organic floral motifs resembling spring blossoms. At the center of the guard lies a heraldic shield depicting King Arthur's traditional coat of arms with three crowns. The two-handed wooden grip is wrapped in supple royal blue leather with a raised textured pattern for a secure hold, balanced by a distinct quadruped floral-shaped pommel.
Significance of the Name Excalibur
The name Excalibur (derived from Welsh Caledfwlch or Latin Caliburnus) denotes the most famous mythical sword in world literature.
