Practice Tai Chi Sword (Jian)
Are you looking for a tool that will become an extension of your arm and help you achieve harmony of body and mind? This Jian type sword is designed specifically for practicing Tai Chi (Taiji) and Wushu forms. Its main advantage is its extremely low weight and specific blade construction, allowing you to perform movements with lightness and elegance. Practice Tai Chi Sword (Jian) with Flexible Blade
Flexible Blade for Dynamic Forms
The blade is made of 420 stainless steel and is characterized by its high flexibility. It tapers significantly towards the tip – it is 2.2 mm thick at the guard, while only 0.7 mm at the tip. This geometry ensures that the sword is "alive" – with correct technique execution (especially during thrusts and snapping strikes), the blade vibrates and produces a characteristic sound. This gives you immediate feedback on the precision of your movement.
Construction and Materials
The sword is designed with an emphasis on easy maintenance and balance. The black handle is made of durable injection-moulded plastic, which fits well in the hand and does not require complex care like wood. The decorative guard featuring a Yin-Yang motif and the pommel are made of chrome-plated die-cast steel, giving the weapon a shine and a representative appearance. A practical detail is the nut in the pommel, which allows for tightening the hilt should it loosen due to practice. We supply the sword with a black lacquered wooden scabbard with chrome fittings.
Usage Warning
This sword is constructed exclusively for non-contact form practice (taolu). Due to the thin and flexible blade, it is not intended for contact fencing, striking objects, or partner drills where blades clash. Such use would lead to irreversible damage to the sword. Use it for shadow boxing and practice in open spaces.
