You simply thread the frog onto your belt using two firmly riveted loops. The wide back panel made of cowhide perfectly distributes the weight of the weapon and reliably prevents the sword from uncomfortably twisting while walking or running. The sword sits firmly in the frog and can be drawn at lightning speed.

Care Instructions and Safety Principles

For the thick cowhide leather to remain supple and strong for many years, it requires regular maintenance. We recommend treating the frog at least twice a year with a high-quality leather balm containing beeswax. If you get caught in a downpour on your expedition and the leather gets wet, dry it exclusively slowly at normal room temperature. Strictly avoid drying it on a radiator, with a hair dryer, or near an open fire – the leather would irreversibly harden and crack. Safety Warning: This type of suspension is not primarily designed for carrying razor-sharp blades. If you choose to carry such a sword in it anyway, exercise extreme caution when sheathing the weapon so as not to accidentally cut through the leather lacing and cause yourself an injury.
