Haller Camo Outdoor Machete with Sawback – 420 Stainless

Tool for Heavy Duty and Detail Work

The core of this machete is a massive blade made of 420 stainless steel. This material is an ideal choice for working tools as it resists corrosion well and is easy to sharpen even in field conditions. The blade surface features a black finish, which not only looks tactical but primarily protects the steel from external elements and glare.

A unique feature of this model is the functional saw on the spine of the blade. This allows you to cut through thicker branches or roots where chopping would be inefficient. The handle is made of durable ABS plastic with a camouflage pattern (CAMO). It is ergonomically shaped with distinct finger grooves, ensuring a firm grip. At the end of the handle, there is a pronounced hook (beak) and a hole for a lanyard, preventing the machete from slipping out of your hand during a swing.

You will receive the machete with a black nylon sheath, which can be easily hung on a belt (up to approx. 5 cm / 2 inches width) thanks to the loop, keeping the tool always at hand.

From Sugar Cane to Jungle Survival

The machete has its roots in tropical regions, where it primarily served as an agricultural tool for harvesting sugar cane and clearing paths in the jungle. Over time, it was adopted by armies worldwide, especially for units operating in wooded terrain. This modern model combines the shape of the classic "Latin machete" with survival knife elements, such as the saw and synthetic handle, creating a tool for the 21st century.

Care and Maintenance

The machete is a workhorse but requires maintenance. After each use, clean it of plant residue and resin, especially from the saw teeth. Dry the blade and ideally treat it with oil (e.g., WD-40 or gun oil) to keep the black finish intact and prevent corrosion. The plastic handle is maintenance-free; just wipe it with a damp cloth.

Safety Warning

Caution, the machete is a heavy and sharp tool. When chopping, always ensure you have enough space around you and no one is standing in the path of your swing. The spine saw is sharp, so be careful not to injure yourself when handling or drawing it from the sheath. Do not use the machete as a hammer.

We recommend you purchase a coarser sharpening stone to keep the edge in top condition even after hard work.
