Dare we say it works well and is designed for batoning? An American hickory handle and a braided wrap near the top to help protect the haft of the 5mm thick blade. Our full tang version of the Nata has a 10" blade and is ground on both sides. This version of the classic comes with a full-grain leather sheath.
