- Cutting Wood: The saw teeth on the spine serve as an emergency saw. If you need to cut a thicker branch or root that cannot be chopped, simply flip the machete over.
- Field Sharpening: You will find a metal fixture on the plastic sheath that serves as an emergency sharpener. Simply angle the blade correctly when drawing or sheathing it and drag it across this element to refresh the edge.
- Carrying: The sheath is equipped with a metal belt hanger (hook) compatible with US-style pistol belts (eyelets), but it can also be hung from a standard sturdy belt or backpack strap.
