Elegance from the Late Gothic Period
The historical basis of this magnificent dress falls into the period of the High and Late Gothic, roughly the 14th and 15th centuries. This style reflects the fashion of the wealthy classes of European society at that time. The two-tone design, known in history as the mi-parti style, was extremely popular during this period and served to display the heraldic colours of the family or as an extravagant fashion statement. The dress reaches down to the ground, giving it a majestic appearance. It is equipped with refined sleeves – the lower sleeves are long and narrow, while the upper sleeves are short, unsewn, and gently fastened with a ribbon. An unobtrusive zip is placed on the back for easier dressing. The front part is decorated with stitching evoking crossed lacing.

Velvet Care and Safety Guidelines
Genuine cotton velvet is a beautiful material, but it is slightly more demanding to maintain. We strongly recommend exclusively professional dry cleaning or very gentle hand washing in lukewarm water. Never wring the fabric by twisting it so as not to break the fine pile, and under no circumstances dry the garment in a tumble dryer. Ironing is only possible from the reverse side on the lowest temperature setting. From a safety perspective, make sure that the child does not step on the long hem of the dress while running or walking up the stairs, which could lead to a dangerous fall. Recommended Historical Accessories
