How to maintain the stand? As the stand is made of raw iron, surface oxidation is a natural occurrence. If desired, the rust can be easily removed with a wire brush or sandpaper. After cleaning, we recommend coating the stand with cooking oil or fat and "burning it in" over a fire. This creates a black protective layer that significantly slows down further rusting.

This product has not been varnished or finished and may show traces of soot from forging process.
