Care and Maintenance
Although CPM 3V steel is highly durable, it is not a fully stainless steel (it is a tool steel). To ensure the knife serves you for generations:
- Clean and dry the blade after every use.
- Regularly apply a thin layer of protective oil (e.g., gun oil or camellia oil) to the blade to prevent corrosion.
- Do not leave the leather sheath in damp conditions and occasionally treat it with leather conditioner.
- Never wash the knife in a dishwasher!

The Jimi Slash Chopper arrives extremely sharp from the factory. Due to its weight and purpose, careless handling can cause very serious injuries. When chopping, always ensure you have enough space around you and that no one is standing in the path of your swing (including behind you).
