Construction and Materials
This big, beautiful replica faithfully copies the shape and balance of the original. The blade, forged from 1075 High Carbon Steel, swells very gently towards the sharply pointed tip to add chopping power. Notably, the top edge of the blade is sharpened, making it effective for back cuts as well.
While the original Bowie featured a handle with slabs of ivory and silver rivets, this reproduction substitutes these with polished black buffalo horn and nickel silver hardware. This offers an elegant look using ethical materials. Its most distinctive feature is the fancy guard that utilizes an integral finger ring. This design element not only adds visual flair but, more importantly, ensures a secure grip and prevents your hand from sliding onto the blade during a thrust.
Complete Set with Belt
The owners of the original knife took care to preserve the sheath and even the belt that came with it, and this reproduction comes with both. You will receive a black leather sheath with an attached frog and a matching belt. Due to the logistics of sizing, the belt is made in one generous size.

Care and Safety
This is a functional replica with a sharp blade, not a toy.
- Blade: Carbon steel can rust. Wipe the knife dry after every use and apply oil (e.g., gun oil or WD-40). Do not store the knife in the sheath for long periods as leather absorbs moisture.
- Handle: Buffalo horn is a natural material. Avoid dishwashers, microwaves, and extreme heat. Occasional oiling helps prevent the horn from drying out and cracking.
- Usage: The knife is sharp with a pointed tip. It is not intended for contact sparring against another person.
