Principles of Safe Use

- Never dry-fire the crossbow! A shot without a loaded bolt (a "dry fire") can instantly destroy the string, cables, and the crossbow itself, and could cause serious injury.
- Always be sure of your target and what lies behind it. Only shoot in designated areas and at a suitable target backstop that can safely stop the bolts.
- Never point the crossbow at people or animals. Remember, you are fully responsible for every shot fired.
- When shooting, always keep your fingers and thumb below the level of the flight rail to prevent injury from the moving string.
- Do not leave the crossbow cocked for extended periods. If you decide not to shoot, safely de-cock it by firing a bolt into a suitable target.

Care and Maintenance for Your Crossbow
