To ensure the lamp functions reliably even in harsh weather conditions, it is protected by a highly heat-resistant borosilicate glass cylinder made by Schott, which is entirely unaffected by sudden temperature changes, rain, or strong winds. Strictly use only pure paraffin oil or kerosene; never use petrol or other highly volatile, flammable liquids, as this poses an immediate risk of explosion. Keep the lamp clean, regularly inspect the valve seals, and periodically oil the pump's leather cup to keep it supple and functioning flawlessly.
