This wristband is made from honest leather with a thickness of approx. 4 mm. Its design is intentionally simple to let the central motif stand out. The strap widens elegantly towards the centre into a point, upon which the brass Tudor Rose is firmly riveted. This element gives the wristband its unmistakable character and historical touch. A Point of Interest: Symbol of Peace After the Wars of the Roses
The Tudor Rose is not just a beautiful ornament. It is a powerful symbol that originated in England at the end of the 15th century. It symbolises the union of the House of Lancaster (whose emblem was the red rose) and the House of York (the white rose) following the end of the brutal thirty-year civil war known as the Wars of the Roses (1455–1487). The marriage of Henry VII (Lancaster) to Elizabeth of York in 1486 politically united the two warring houses and established the Tudor dynasty. The Tudor Rose, combining both emblems, thus became a symbol of peace and national unity.
Caring for Your Leather Wristband
